| How long will it take to make a Tandem jump? | Top |
The actual skydive itself only takes about 30 minutes, for climb to altitude (14,500 ft.), freefall and canopy ride. You should plan on spending about two hours at the drop zone. But, be prepared to spend more in the event of bad weather or other delays. The scheduled jumps are not always on time for various reasons. Please be prepared to spend several hours, if necessary, in order to make your jump. We will do our best to stay on schedule.
| Is there a weight limit? | Top |
Yes, our weight limit for all Tandem Skydives and Student Skydives is 215 pounds. This weight limit is based on the weight limit of the equipment we use and on being able to safely exit the aircraft. The equipment is designed, tested, and certified by the manufacturer for a certain maximum suspended weight.
| How old do I have to be? | Top |
You must be at least 18 years of age with a current photo ID. A parent cannot sign for their underage children in the State of Texas. We will not make any exceptions to this rule.
| What do I need to wear? | Top |
Comfortable clothing for the weather and sneakers (no boots or sandals, please). You may want to leave your jewelry at home, because we will probably ask you to remove it anyway.
| Can I get pictures and video of my skydive? | Top |
Yes, we can capture your thrilling experience with a professionally produced DVD, edited to music of your choice, and multiple high resolution digital photos downloaded to a disc. Both of which are available at an additional charge.
| Do I need to make reservations to make a skydive? | Top |
Reservations are almost always required if you want to be able to make a skydive. We are usually booked up one week in advance and sometimes two. A $50.00 deposit, per person, is required in order to be scheduled. Visa, MasterCard, or cash is required for the deposit. We do not take personal checks for the deposit. You can cancel or change your reservations up to 72 hours before your scheduled appointment without losing your deposit (two weeks for groups of 5 or more. A group deposit is required at the time of reservation, and is non refundable.). We have to pay our staff for being there, whether you show up or not, and we need this time to reschedule your time slot.
| Can I go solo my first jump? | Top |
No. Based on past experience, a Tandem Skydive is required for your first jump. Tandem Skydives are an excellent way to be introduce to the sport of skydiving. You will be attached to a qualified Skydiving Instructor, who is responsible for all of the important decisions. Tandem Skydives are cheaper, faster, and far safer, than going solo on your first skydive. After your Tandem Skydive you can decide whether or not skydiving is your cup of tea. If your goal is to jump solo and become a licensed skydiver you can then enroll in one of our First Jump Courses.
| What will the skydive feel like? | Top |
The sensation of freefall is more like flying than falling. You will not get a falling sensation when you jump out of the airplane. The parachute flight is peaceful and quiet, and will allow you to take in the beauty of the hill country. On a clear day you can see Downtown Fort Worth and Dallas, making this one of the most scenic adventures offered in the area.
| Can you breathe and/or talk in freefall? | Top |
Breathing is easy in freefall, but talking is almost impossible. The rush of the wind makes it difficult to hear.
| How fast do you fall? | Top |
The average Skydiver falls approximately 120 miles per hour. It is however possible, to exceed 200 plus miles per hour!
| How can I pay for my skydive? | Top |
